Cloud Forest Lodge offers 72 acres of primary and secondary forest, canopy tour, over 3 miles of private trails and more than 180 species of birds in a quiet and wonderful place. The beautiful gardens and bungalow-style bedrooms make a great place to relax rest and enjoy nature.

Guests of the Cloud Forest Lodge will enjoy its tranquil and organic ambiance and outdoor accessibility. Over 3 miles (5 km) of trails extend throughout the forested property, where some 180 species of birds are known to reside.

Delicious and carefully prepared Costa Rican-style meals are available at the lodge’s cordial restaurant, including beef, chicken, fish, soups, salads, deserts and more. The restaurant is open from breakfast till dinner, and is known for its homemade granola and bread. A variety of national and foreign drinks can be enjoyed at the bar, a spot that also serves up amazing views of the nearby forest and, in the distance, the Gulf of Nicoya.

Next to the restaurant is a reading area surrounded by windows and stocked with sofas. Whether with a book, computer or family member, this is a perfect place to get cozy and lounge-away the afternoon.

All rooms offer private bath, amenities, hot water and a patio where you can appreciate the quiet beauty of our surrounding gardens and forest. The hotel has handicap rooms (with special bathrooms and ramps). Although there are very basic and simple rooms, there’s a reason for it: we seek to provide a real mountain-hotel experience where we balance the comfort and the beauty of nature. The result is a very cozy space with primary services surrounded by beautiful gardens and the sounds of nature.
