La Kukula Lodge is in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, in Playa Chiquita beach area, next to the best beaches in Costa Rica’s South Caribbean Coast and to Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Park and Jaguar Wildlife Rescue Center.
The lodge was designed following sustainable arquitecture principles to allow our guests enjoy the natural environment and its biodiversity.
At La Kukula Lodge you can eat breakfast while listening to the sounds of the jungle; observe the feasting kukulas (commonly known as sloths…) and the curious iguanas; take a dip in the pool as toucans fly overhead; or simply read a good book, immersed by the jungle.
In this little part of the jungle no two days are the same, and with a paradise on your doorstep you don’t have to travel far to appreciate all the flora and fauna that surrounds you.
La Kukula Lodge follows the principles of sustainable architecture and only plantation wood (teak) has been used in its construction. With its tropical-contemporary style, the bungalows blend naturally with the wooded surroundings: an ideal location to enjoy the flora and fauna the region has to offer.
A simple path system running through the garden links each bungalow, the “rancho-bar” and the swimming pool.
