Guests of Las Tortugas revel in the luxury of staying at the only beach hotel in the area. Imagine this grand and glorious beach with miles of pristine golden sand at your doorstep. Our ten rooms with private, hot water bathrooms are climate controlled spaces for resting up for the next nature excursion. Several rooms offer with cross ventilation if air conditioning is not your preference.
Canoes and a jungle boat are available for excursions in the 1500+ acre salt water estuary. There is excellent deep sea fishing excursions, white water rafting trips on the Tenorio River and trips to the Barra Honda Cave.
Hotel Las Tortugas is perfectly positioned in the center of Playa Grande, just steps from the main peak which is one of Costa Rica's most consistent surf breaks. Playa Grande has been one of the world's principle nesting beaches for the Giant Leatherback Sea Turtle. The nightly turtle tours run from October 20th to Feb. 15th through the park service.
